The Great Outdoors

HCCA spends almost 2 hours per day outside between snack, lunch, and recess. Our kids run, sweat, laugh, and soak in the sun. Why? Because they are kids and that’s what they enjoy! Also, we’ve found that unstructured play time during the day is when our students develop personal relationships with each other and get some energy out. While the monkey bars are a popular destination, the kids also read, tell stories, make up and play games, and tell jokes. When they return to the classroom, they are ready to focus, explore, and learn.
